PCE Instruments PCE-TDS 100HS Flowmeter

The PCE-TDS 100HS ultrasonic flow meter is necessary as part of control measurements or for quickly determining flow in a pipeline, and therefore serves as a portable/easy-to-install measuring system. The ultrasonic flow meter operates according to the transit time difference method. The measuring principle of the flow meter is quite simple: the stronger the flow, the less time the signal needs to overcome the distance, and the weaker the flow, the more time it takes. The flow meter uses this effect to determine flow velocity and flow rate. In this case, electroacoustic transducers ("Piezo effect") send and receive short ultrasonic pulses through the medium flowing in the pipe.

The transducers are positioned longitudinally on both sides of the measuring pipe. The non-invasive sensors are placed on the pipe and secured using a clamp. After a short time, the flow velocity is displayed on the screen. The ultrasonic flow meter can be used for measurements on metal pipes, plastic pipes, or rubber pipes with diameters of 50...700 or 57...720 mm.
