The Telemecanique XCSDMP70010 from the Preventa XCS series is a coded magnetic safety switch designed for non-contact interlocking and position monitoring of machine guards and doors. This switch provides a high level of tamper resistance due to its coded magnetic principle, ensuring that the safety function can only be defeated by the specifically matched coded actuator.

This safety switch features a contact arrangement of 2 Normally Closed (NC) and 1 Normally Open (NO) contacts, with the NC contacts having a staggered operation for enhanced safety circuit design flexibility. It is housed in a durable rectangular plastic (thermoplastic PBT) enclosure, rated IP66 and IP67, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.

The XCSDMP70010 comes with a pre-cabled 10-meter cable for convenient electrical connection. It is designed for low current switching applications (up to 100 mA) and is certified to meet high international safety standards, capable of achieving Performance Level e (PLe) / Safety Category 4 according to ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to IEC 61508 when used with appropriate safety monitoring devices. This switch requires a separate coded magnetic actuator (not included) for operation.
