The Telemecanique XCS PL771 from the Preventa XCSPL series is a safety limit switch designed for reliable position monitoring in safety-critical applications, commonly employed as a hinge switch. It is an ideal component for supervising the open/closed position of machine guards, doors, flaps, or other machine elements that move with a rotating motion.

This switch features a robust plastic housing and is equipped with a turret head fitted with an elbowed flush lever actuator. The actuator operates to the right, making it suitable for activation by angular movement. The XCS PL771 is configured with two Normally Closed (NC) contacts, which feature slow-break operation and positive opening, a critical safety mechanism ensuring the circuit is broken even if contacts are welded.

With a compact, double-insulated plastic (Polyamide PA66) enclosure measuring 88 mm in height, 30 mm in width, and 30 mm in depth, and an IP67 protection rating, this switch is well-suited for use in demanding industrial environments. Electrical connection is provided via a single tapped entry for a Pg 11 cable gland.
